Whole-Person Care Starts Here
Mind, Body, Spirit, and Community
At Oyate Health Center, Behavioral Health is part of how we care for the whole person – mind, body, spirit, and community. We believe mental health is directly connected to individual wellness and community strength, and everyone deserves support that is respectful, confidential, and centered on their needs.
We’re On Your Team
Our Behavioral Health team is built into OHC’s integrated healthcare model, meaning behavioral health providers are part of primary care teams. This helps patients access support easily and helps providers work together, so care feels connected and coordinated.
A Department Built by Community Input
Behavioral health was one of the strongest priorities named in the Oyate Health Center community needs assessment. In response, OHC expanded Behavioral Health services and increased access to providers.
This growth means more support, shorter wait times, and a stronger ability to meet the needs of children, teens, adults, and families.
Services We Offer
- Comprehensive assessments and screening
- Outpatient counseling for children and adults
- Family and group counseling
- Psychiatric services and medication management
- Telehealth appointments (including access to additional providers as needed)
- Dual diagnosis support (mental health + substance use concerns)
- Community support and education
- Help connecting to social service programs and other resources that support wellness
Services are provided through scheduled appointments, and telehealth is available to help expand access. Walk-ins may also be available depending on staffing and capacity
What Integrated Care Means for You
When Behavioral Health is part of your primary care team, you don’t have to manage everything alone. Integrated care means:
- Your providers can coordinate with your permission
- You can receive support for stress, grief, trauma, depression, anxiety, substance use, and life transitions
- Mental health care becomes more accessible—alongside medical care
- You are supported with whole-person care, not just symptoms
Telehealth Options
If you’re unable to come in, or if specialized services are needed, OHC may use telehealth to connect you with additional behavioral health providers. This helps patients get timely care and reduces travel barriers.
