Trauma and Violence Prevention Initiative (TVPI)
The Trauma & Violence Prevention Initiative (TVPI) works to reduce unsafe situations among Tribal Citizen Relatives and offer support for those who have faced difficult experiences. This is accomplished through information, resources, referrals, and training for Tribal Nations and regions with many Tribal Citizens.
TVPI also strengthens Tribal families by offering safe, culturally guided learning opportunities and events. The initiative focuses on preventing household harm, while also addressing concerns related to missing Tribal Relatives and other serious safety issues.
Criteria For Program
The initiative primarily supports Tribal Citizens and offers assistance to organizations that serve Tribal Citizens. All Relatives in the service area may participate.
