Great Plains Tribal Opioid Response Program
The Great Plains Tribal Leaders Health Board (GPTLHB) receives support through a SAMHSA Tribal Opioid Response Grant to strengthen overall wellness and recovery services. Building on ongoing work, the program supports Relatives affected by opioid and stimulant use—including cocaine and methamphetamine—through care that respects Tribal traditions and local practices.
This includes access to FDA-approved medications, expanded learning opportunities, improved care access, and continued recovery guidance. The effort is carried out with the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe and Lakota Relatives in the He Sapa area, creating a caring and comprehensive approach to healing.
